Victoria Waterfront
One
of Cape Town’s most popular attractions is the Victoria
Waterfront, which consists of a shopping mall, docks, the
harbour and several restaurants and lots of sea gulls.
Cape Town harbour was restored and revamped in 1990 when
they took pleasure in transforming it into a recreational
area, building exclusive shopping centres, hundreds of restaurants,
coffee shops, live music bars, pubs and bistros.
Perhaps one of the most pleasant experiences at the Victoria
and Alfred waterfronts are the sailing boat trips around Table
Bay or Robben Island.
The Waterfront also has two museums and a cinema complex,
as well as an Imax cinema, theater and extremely impressive
Two Oceans Aquarium.
A lot of first class hotels are situated around the Victoria
and Alfred Waterfronts, which is visited often by International
celebrities such as singers and film stars.
The Waterfront always has a unique harbour atmosphere with
lots of sailing boats, steam boats, passenger boats, historical
buildings, cosmopolitan flair and the amazing Table Mountain
providing the backdrop for a picturesque setting. |
